This project will identify and evaluate educational tools available for clinicians who care for patients with trisomy 13 and 18 during the perinatal period. In addition to reviewing traditional sources, the project will assess information produced by widely used artificial intelligence (AI) tools, which clinicians increasingly rely on to gather information, prepare for conversations with families, and support medical decision-making. The project will further examine the needs and challenges of clinician educators who teach others about trisomy 13 and 18 through surveys and interviews. Together, this research will produce a curated set of available medical education resources and provide a deeper understanding of the needs and barriers of medical educators.
